Derrick Barrios

I graduated with a degree in Print Graphic Design. With high intentions of working in some awesome magazine ad agency, I fell into the mysterious world of News Design. 16 years later, I'm still movin' and a-groovin', enjoying the highs & lows of all News life has to offer.

While News design and animation is my current day job, I'm interested in anything and everything artistic. I'll spend hours at a local museum studying the use of color, medium, and expression, just to get a different perspective in my own designs. Anything you can create by hand, I'm all about it.

I often approach projects with a minimalist view. Most of the time, less is more. But for news, flashy is King! I feel that with my experience on multiple sides of the design world, I have all the creative ammo at my disposal!

For me, I want to engage in a visual conversation with any and all comers, and hopefully, they walk away with a new idea or thought in their head. Allow me to change your creative perception and aesthetically please your eyes.
